And we are back with Marge at the open. This time she's frosting some Halloween cupcakes, instead of standing before a theater curtain.
When the camera pans up to her, she welcomes us and says that while it's been a week since Halloween, at the Simpsons house they are keeping the spirit alive and...
...then an onscreen ad for American Idol pops up over her.
And she deals with it.
And then the NFL tries to muscle in, and Marge handles them to.
And then they more try and to ruin your TV watching experience. And Marge has had it.
First, dealing with Cops.
Then, Jack Bauer.
Then, Dr. House.
And with them gone, she just stares down Prison Break.
With them gone, she has a brilliant idea for dinner.
So she brings out a meatloaf to the family.
And inside the meatloaf? The FOX Prime Time lineup, all in the shape of the titles.
And Homer finds the murderous main course delicious.
This was a good opening. It plays on the TV ad ploy that was new and annoying. Ads on top of a show that is running. And Marge gets the bloody vengeance for us all.
It's funny commentary that blends a nice bit of butchery.
