Glenn Beck has issues...

How apt.

Just caught him on CNN promoting his special on tonight. It is about the TRUTH of Global Warming.

So will he continue with his argument about it being a fear tool, where he compared Al Gore to Hitler? Where he compares the rounding up and murder of Jews (leaving out all the other faiths, cultures, and types of people also persecuted) to warnings about the dangers to the planet.

Think he might get less subtle.

HELL NO! This is Glenn FREAKING Beck. He doesn't know the meaning of the word SUBTLE.

Let's look at his promotion today.

If anything, the loaded question of the CNN news reader set the tone. Shouldn't we just do what science says? We should trust science. It isn't evil, but a question like this is a loaded one that lets Beck wail on scientist.

BECK POINTS:

-Scientific Consensus is BAD.
-Consensus leads to eugenics.
-Consensus says butter is bad, then it says butter is really good.
-Science is like a religion (The news reader made some vague reference to something in the UN to allow Beck to jump over to this and vent about how scientist should start wearing priest collars. Subtle news reader, subtle.)
-Then he ended by claiming science refuses to allow any questioning of it. IE, it is a dogma. SEE science is a religion.
I suppose I could be surprised at Beck, but this is part and parcel of Beck's arrogant ignorance of most everything he mouths off on. All he missed was an attack on evolution, and to say science is for atheists. (Now some might say, "But how could he call science is a religion if it is atheistic?" With a mind like Becks, it makes perfects sense.) The irony is that he bemoans that SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS decided on butter (Which I doubt. Someone did some research and the results got into the MSM and blown up as the final word, then another person got different results and that got tossed around as the final word. MSM - screwing science one way or another.), but then says it can't be questioned. He implies to contrary ideas. Again, easy for the Beck brain.

Beck has a style. He claims 2 things at once, but you know which is the real point, the others there to cover his ass. He says science is good and useful, then proceeds to show it is full of lies and shams. If you question him he'll remind you of his nice words, avoiding the 98% of the work where he says the opposite.
