Is this the way to protect your business?

Crooks and Liars:
“The basic principle in the law is that you have to distribute actual physical copies to be guilty of violating copyright. But recently, the industry has been going around saying that even a personal copy on your computer is a violation.”
So to make a copy for your iPod, or to keep at your office, so you don't need to lug CD's around...a CRIME!

Isn't this the type of crap you'd expect from the Sheriff of Nottingham in the recent Robin Hood series? Are they trying now to come off as out and out thugs and villains? Going after distributors, I can see the argument. But this? It is like a terror tactic, or sheer lunacy.
