Was watching an old episode of QI tonight, and saw this again. Definitely worth sharing and giving people a bit of a history lesson.
Meet Mr. Thomas Midgley, American inventor. Particularly of 2 items we all know too well.
Heck of a way to go. A good lesson though about never being too sure of your big ideas, can't always see the troubles ahead.
