Remember the Treehouse of Horror 9 title sequence?

Following on from 1997, we move into the 9th year of Halloween Specials.

This year, they've decided to more play with the traditional show opening, giving us a switch to a stormy sky, and the titles.

We cut as always to Bart at school, this time writing the special's title.

He races out.

We cut to the house and Homer getting home, as does Bart. Bart flies over the car, as always.

But things go wrong.

Then Lisa gets home, her vision blocked. And things go wrong.

And then Marge and Maggie get home, racing into the garage, as always, chasing Homer in, as always.

But things go wrong.

Meanwhile at the couch gag, Freddie and Jason are perplexed that the family hasn't arrived yet so they can do their bit.

An interesting turn for the title sequence. They've shifted this year to parody the normal opening, making for a engaging change from earlier years. A simple dark twist to the normal light show opening is a pleasant surprise. It's quite memorable.
